Ecoregional Assessment Geodatabase for Western North America

Abstract

GIS data set that aggregates the information from 19 ecoregional assessments across western North America into a file geodatabase. This geodatabase contains geographic and tabular information pertaining to priority conservation areas in western North America. The region encompasses a sequence of mountain ranges, including the Rocky Mountains, that form the backbone or spine of the western North America, along with the surrounding deserts and semi-arid lands. Priority conservation areas (conservation areas) are geographic areas that have been selected because of the sensitive biological species, habitats, and features (targets) that are known to occur in these areas. Conservation, protection, and management actions within these areas should be prioritized in order to ensure persistence and survival of these sensitive biological features.

Available as a Feature Service. To use this feature service in ArcGIS Pro:

  1. On the Map tab, in the Layer group, click the Add Data drop-down arrow.
  2. Click Data From Path. The Add Data From Path dialog box appears.
